Safe Driving Beyond The Test

Passing the test is a great feeling but it's only the first step in learning to drive. Nobody is able to teach experience. Remember, new drivers are vulnerable due to inexperience and are at a greater risk of having an accident than experienced motorists. Research proves that you are more likely to have an accident in the first two years after passing the test than any other time. It is important to recognise the dangers of inexperience otherwise a happy experience can turn into a nightmare. New drivers will be on probation for two years and if they get a total of 6 or more penalty points during this time they will lose their full licence and go back to provisional licence status and have to take the test again.
 
Pass Plus
Pass Plus has been developed by the Driving Standards Agency and the Department of Transport with the help of insurers and the driving instruction industry.
